PanStrobe — Privacy Policy

PanStrobe does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind. Everything the app measures and stores stays on your device.

Microphone

PanStrobe needs the microphone to hear your instrument — that is the entire purpose of a tuner. The audio is analysed on your device, in real time, and is never recorded to a server, uploaded, or shared. No audio ever leaves your device.

Data stored on your device

The app saves your own settings and work locally so it can pick up where you left off: reference pitch, tolerance, display preferences, and — in versions that offer them — any recordings and tuning reports you create. This information is stored in the app's private storage on your device. We cannot see it. It is deleted when you delete the app.

No analytics, no tracking

PanStrobe contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs, no crash reporters, and no third-party trackers. The app works fully offline; it makes no network requests to us at all.

Purchases

Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles the payment; we never see your payment details, name, or address. The app only asks Apple whether this Apple ID owns PanStrobe Pro, and unlocks the features accordingly.

Licence keys sold directly (workshop and web) are verified offline on your device using public-key cryptography. Redeeming a key sends nothing anywhere.

Children

PanStrobe is a professional instrument-tuning tool. It is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone, including children.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to disclose, correct, export, or delete. To remove everything the app has stored, delete the app from your device.

Changes

If a future version of PanStrobe ever handles data differently, this page will be updated before that version ships, and the change will be described here.
